db4objects in China: Guangzhou airport

After a few weeks of trip through Europe (including the db4o User Conference in London), India, and Hong Kong, I have now entered mainland China to build personal relationships with db4o's second largest user community (#1: US, #2: China, #3: Germany, #4: Japan).
Arriving in Guangzhou (Canton) airport today and lunch with Heaven.
Later on to Chengdu, capital of Szechuan province, and dinner with Rosen and friends.
Later this week I will move on to Shanghai, and I will conclude this trip in Beijing (and the Tokyo) next week.

World Cup Frenzy in Germany

After a first stop in Boston I have reached Munich, where I stay a couple of days - in the middle of Soccer World Cup Frenzy. Crazy! Even the bathrooms have a soccer decoration...
And fun. The German team of (Californian living German) Juergen Klinsmann is now among the final 4...
Now on my way to Switzerland, but back in Germany for the semi finals. Finals (or game for the 3rd place) when I am in London...... Hopefully I will survive it (England is out of the tournament and traditionally not very friendly to the German soccer contributions)

Uuuh - Bad Blogging Discipline. World Cup

No excuses, I have been lazy lately. And it appears that my drive to blog increases once I am on travels. Now I have started another round-the-world trip recently which brings me first to Europe and then to Asia and back home to SF - and I have started blogging again.
Oh, then there's an excuse: I have been watching (Soccer) World Cup ... starting at Gordon Biersch's in Palo Alto on 6/9 (picture) with the game Germany : Costa Rica (4:2)
